    KU Undergraduate Programs in School of Science and School of Engineering Admission Notice

    Kathmandu University calls for application for admission in Undergraduate Programs in School of Science and School of Engineering for the academic year 2017/2018 in the following programs with following indicated number of seats. In order to be fully eligible for application, candidates must have passed 10+2 level (or equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate with the additional requirement as listed below for admission intended program.

    PROGRAMS:
    BE in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Communication)
    BE in Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Power and Control)
    BE in Mechanical Engineering (Automobile)
    BE in Mechanical Engineering (Design and Manufacturing)
    BE in Mechanical Engineering (Energy Technology)
    BE in Mechanical Engineering (Hydropower)
    BE in Civil Engineering (Specialization in Hydropower)
    BE in Chemical Engineering
    BTech in Environmental Engineering

    Additional +2 level result requirement for application :
    Minimum 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) in aggregate (See note *)

    PROGRAMS:
    BE in Computer Engineering
    BE in Geomatics Engineering
    BSc in Applied Physics
    BSc in Computer Science
    Bachelor of Pharmacy
    BSc in Environmental Science
    BTech in Biotechnology

    Additional +2 level result requirement for application :
    Minimum 50% in PCM or Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science (PMCs)in aggregate

    PROGRAMS:
    Bachelor of Pharmacy
    BSc in Environmental Science  
    BTech in Biotechnology

    Additional +2 level result requirement for application :
    Minimum 50% in PCM or Physics, Chemistry and Biology(PCB)in aggregate

    PROGRAM:
    BSc in Human Biology
    Minimum 50% in PCB in aggregate

    Candidates are required to appear for Kathmandu University Common Admission Test (KUCAT) and will be offered admission based on rank in KUCAT result in all merit seats and in the quota seats. The admission test will be conducted in the mode of Computer-Based Test (CBT) as described in the KUCAT CBT Information. Candidates are strongly advised to read thoroughly the KUCAT CBT Information before the Admission test.

    - KUCAT CBT:26 July onwards (Block 08 and 09 of KU)(
    - Publication of CBT score :09 August 2017 (on KU website)
    - Program option changing by candidates (Online)
    - Publication of Merit List for Programs (14 August 2017)  (on KU website)
    -  Publication of First List for Admission (Open Merit Seat)
    (Admission procedure will be on the admission notice)
    -  Admitted student orientation :13-15 September 2017 (Contact respective department )
    - Start of Academic Session or Classes (17 September 2017)
