SLC Chance Exam Routine 2072 published

Office of the controller of examination (OCE) has made provision of grade increment through chance exam for students with D and E grade in theory for two subjects.

The chance exam will be held from July 29 to August 5. Last year, a total of 405,338 students had appeared for the SLC exam but only 192,267 had passed.

Ways to get your SLC Results 2072 through website, SMS and IVR

Office of the Controller of Examinations (OCE) published the results of the School Leaving Certificate (SLC) exams, 2016 on Thursday.

In previous years, students used to get their results with subject-wise marks and percentage; while from this year, the OCE has decided to publish the results with grades.

Consequently, no any students has been categorised as failed.

Examination Controller Krishna Prasad Kapri said the OCE was able to publish the results on the 69th day of the conclusion of the examinations. This is the shortest duration ever between the exams and the results in the 83-year SLC history, though this year witnessed the highest number of candidates, he added.

The OCE said a total of 615,553 examinees had appeared in the examinations in different categories.

Of the total examinees, 452,881(227,535 girls and 225,346 boys) were from the regular category, while 159,417 examinees (97,036 girls and 62,381 boys) were from the exempted category.

Similarly, a total of 3,255 examinees (1,273 girls and 1,982 boys) had appeared in the SLC examinations under the technical and vocation stream.

SLC examinations were held from March 31 to April 11.

Last year, SLC results were published on the 80th day after completion of the examinations.
